VOCABULARY

GRAMMAR
  •  Start by revising and consolidating verbs 'TO BE' and 'HAVE GOT':
           - TO BE: AFFIRMATIVE AND NEGATIVE
          
          - HAVE GOT

           - BE or HAVE GOT?


  • Have a go with the PRESENT SIMPLE to express habits or routines and general facts about life:
           - PRESENT SIMPLE AFFIRMATIVE

           - PRESENT SIMPLE NEGATIVE

           - PRESENT SIMPLE INTERROGATIVE 

           - QUESTION WORDS: What, who, when, where, why, how often, what time, . . .

  • Now, let's talk about what people are or aren't doing at the moment. We use the PRESENT CONTINUOUS:
           
           - What are the frogs doing? MORE PRESENT CONTINUOUS 


  • Now, we're going to practise comparatives and superlatives:
          - COMPARATIVES: Add 'er' to short adjectives (older, thinner, prettier) and more + adjectives for two ore more syllables adjectives ( more important). Don't forget to add 'than' after the adjectives.
         - SUPERLATIVES: write 'the' before the adjectives. Add 'est' for shorter adjectives ( the tallest, the biggest, the funniest) or add 'the most' before longer adjectives (the most important).
         - Now, decide COMPARATIVE or SUPERLATIVE in each case.

         - Let's compare some CARTOON CHARACTERS.

         - Let's deal with WORLD RECORDS! Which form is used? Comparative or superlative?
